Snow, snow go away....

Ok, so I'm going out n a limb here to say whoever said the phrase "Beautiful Washington" has never spent (or should I say trapped in by SNOW) a Christmas break in a 900 square foot house in Bellingham with a 6 month old baby. Lets see.... the snow stared to fall the Wednesday before Christmas. I was out that day trying to get last minute Christmas shopping done when the WHITE STUFF began to fall and fall and didn't stop. I made my way back home to find everything covered in snow. Here we go I thought.. I have to now try to make it up our steep driveway. Lets just say there was no way I was making it up.  I had to park the car at the bottom of the hill and there the new shiny car sat until Clint came home.

Please don't get me wrong I love the snow but I hav
e been trapped in the 900 square foot house now for 13 LONG days. The only time I get out is when Clint gets home from work and we have to run to town for something. It's sad to say but that trip to town is the highlight of my day!! I don't know how full time mom's stay home everyday. I guess it's just not for me.

Yippee Clint is home... finally some adult conversation time!!

Oh what fun it is to..... SWING

Clint and I thought it would be a good idea to take Sydney to the park to take a few photos of her in a swing.. we were also hoping to get a good shot for our Christmas cards.

Mommy comforting Sydney telling her that the swing is okay and fun.

Look at me dad and mom.. I'm swinging!  I think I like this??!!

This is FUN!!!

Taking a break and being her courious self

She is so happy being outside... HAPPY HAPPY BABY!!

Getting tired....

All done....

Dad.. STOP taking pictures!!

Christmas 2008

Sydney's first Christmas.... She had so much fun. Well Clint and I think she did.. we sure enjoyed watching her. We didn't think she would be much into the whole thing but surprisingly, she was interested in everything.. she even tried to help with opening gifts Christmas morning. We had to take a break half way though- she got tired and hungry. What a blessing Sydney is.... I can't wait for more Christmas' to come. I hear they just get better and better.

A few things that Sydney got from dad and mom and Christmas eve.

Sydney all excited- she was blabbing away telling us BIG stories.

Getting tired.... we had to take a break.

New socks that daddy picked out all by himself.  She thought they were so cool!

The big hit was a card envelope that came from the Morris family.

Sydney's new book that dad and mom got her.. she finally realized that dad was taking pictures!!  She loves her daddy!

Sydney reading the book to mommy... what a cutie!

Oh....... so excited about her new book!

What a FUN book!

A present from our neighbor's the Popoffs. Not sure- do you think she likes bear??!!

Sydney not sure about all these presents....

Daddy and Mommy got her a new hat.. hoping she could wear it this winter.. I think not. She has such a small head. Hopefully next year.
